Best of luck and I hope they can find ways to make your life more normal again. I haven't been on any medications that needed me to have shots at home, but from when I worked in the emergency room I would suggest teaching someone else (wife, gf, other good friend, etc.) to give you the shots. Then when its time look away and tell them to just go at it. This way you don't have to bring yourself to cause pain and someone else has control over it. It will get the process done quicker each time.

wow! Good luck. Clots are serious business.

As for shots, I find that being given a shot is much easier than giving yourself a shot.

Thanks you guys:) Well I am off the shots for now which is a good thing-I dreaded every single one:( that was an anticoagulant. Now I am on warfarin which is a blood thinner. My arm is still like a tornequet is tied on it but is slowly starting to relieve. Vericose veins popped out on my upper arm from blood backpressure, and now all these veins on my shoulder are showing. Scary stuff. Hemotologist says I will be on thinners for life. Thank you for your prayers and wishes-blood clots are random and scary-but I try not to think about the worst case.
