Got these 265/70/17 tires today, kinda last minute thing before a long road trip tomorrow. I didn't have time to shop around much. I paid $140+tax each which includes mounting and balancing.

    Is this a good deal?

I chose these over the Hankook which were $115+tax but does not include mounting and balancing.

Thanks Fluffy, glad to know I didn't overpaid. And even happier to know I got a good deal.

I got it off a tire place in a Chevron gas station in San dimas, CA. :) Haha!

How do you like the tires. Is the tread depth ok . I am looking at the same tires but don't know much about them.

They seem pretty good. Ride quality is good. Tire noise is normal, not loud. Looks wise, they look way better than the Hankook ones in comparison. Treads are pretty deep. I'll post pictures as soon as I figure how to attach pictures from the iPhone.

EDIT: figured it out, pics below.

Those are the tires that came with the offroad package on my H3. (sold for tacoma) They hooked up pretty good overall in the sand and snow. I also had the desert dueler AT (non rh-s) with the same tread pattern on my ranger. Those tires lasted forever even till the day I sold it, and I drove that thing like a bat outta hell.

Just got back from long road trip. I put over 1000 miles on these new tires. overall I think they are really good like sparky said. I don't do any off roadings so I don't know if they are great for that. But for regular roads they are great tires. I'm very happy with my purchase.

    UPDATE!!!

Just an update on these tires after almost 5 years and about 80,000 miles later. There is still a third of treads left on the tires. I think these tires can hit 100K miles, no problems. The driver side front tire just started losing air for unknown reason. The guy at the Pep Boys thinks it's because it is leaking through the walls as air is not coming from the tread areas. I have to put air in that tire once a week. I have an air compressor at home so it's not a big deal.

But I'm considering getting a new set of tires and will very likely get the same make and model as I like these tires a lot.
