I got pulled over tonight cause apparently my tires are to wide, my tails are too dark and I don't have mud flaps. What a dick

if it makes you feel any better, I got pulled over last week for my tint - and my windows were only 1/3 of the way up.

If those are all even remotely true, I don't think it's the cop that's the dick. Laws exist to keep others safe. Get some mud flaps that cover your big-ass tires and un-smoke your tail lights.

You think the Officer was bad they could have put your vehicle out of service and had it towed now that would have been expensive

Tint on your taillights is a terrible idea to begin with for the simple fact that its unsafe for everyone in the road. im not even going to argue on how they look. if i was a cop id pull over and cite everyone with tinted tails because its dangerous. if he got you for flaps and tire width, you must have done something to piss him off but who knows, maybe he was just being a dick. although, he was just doing his job after all. you were the one breaking the law. i have no flaps either, and tires past my fenders, and if i got cited for them id be pissed, but only at myself, not the cop. thats like being mad at your bank for charging you and overdraft fee when its your fault for spending money you didnt have. same concept. dont be mad at the cop for enforcing the laws and doing his job.

Unless you live in a super small town and the cop is going to see your truck on a regular basis and now has a reason to remember you (if you were ahem less than polite with him lol), then hopefully you have a friend that can swap wheels, tail lights, and let you borrow his mud flaps your for a day. Drive over to the sheriff's office and get your ticket signed off and case closed. I had a fix it ticket because my truck got stolen and the thief cut my tail light wires while stealing my cd player - lame. It was a hard fix for the mechanic to figure out. Hopefully you can get it all cleared up easily.

Ive got a set of first gen rear mud flaps ill sell you.

To everyone ragging on tinted tail lights :brianr: mine are tinted and still more than bright enough. Blacking out stock lights is dumb. Going to tinted aftermarket LED lights is totally different and they look great.

My old vehicles I've been pulled over 4 times for too dark of tint and no front license plate. But after many years of donating to the city and county of Honolulu's general fund. I have learned my lessons.
