The hitching post?
I get the idea behind the revelco, just not sure I'd hack into a factory wiring harness to install one.
I would think if someone is savy enough to bypass the factory ignition, they could work around the revelco.

 

It would take quite a bit of time to trace all the wires and rewire the whole harness. Doable of course given enough time but it prevents every kind of theft other than towing the vehicle away on a flat bed.

 

I used to think this forum was filled with intelligent people who generally wanted to help. It's too bad it's now populated by idiotic trolls like every other board who think their every thought is hilarious. If you don't have anything helpful to add to the thread don't comment. So simple.

Sheesh i think you might want to lighten up a bit. The guy responded with his thoughts on the device in a colorful way. It is in fact old technology, even if still effective.

How incredibly boring would this place be if every response was simply direct and to the point without any personal input or funny commentary? 99% of these questions have already been asked and answered anyway, and I happen to enjoy some of the funny comments I’ve read in my time here.

If you don’t like somebody’s style or input, block em. I’ve done it and makes for a much better experience.

I am surprised that Ravelco is still around. You are better off installing a remote and hidden kill switch than installing one of these.

 

It’s a great product.

 

Just installed one in my 01, took my time and it took about 4 hours.

It is not complicated, just a little fussy w wire routing etc, getting the hole drilled in the fire wall was the worst of it, lol.

There is no ‘hacking’ into the factory wiring, there are 4 splices in two circuits and its reversible.

It prevents my truck being stolen by a tweaker w a screwdriver. Pro’s are Pro’s, there is no perfect, only enough headache to deter most opportunistic and mid level thieves.

Well worth it for the peace of mind
