Other than saving their suppliers, the government should've let Chrysler go under. They haven't built a good vehicle since the K-car. That 04 I had was a piece of crap other than the Cummins in it. The truck was built in Mexico as they have been. Chrysler would have a nice product if they would address their longtime electrical, transmission, and body integrity issues, but they won't, its cheaper not to . All their dealers are low price high volume. If they wouldve let them go under, they would put the cummins in a Ford where it belongs.

I get this bullshit all the time, I just tell them my truck was made in California and will still be driving in 20 years whereas their PoS ford/dodge/chevy will be a junk yard (its rightful place).

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
Ran into the same problem at work. Explained that my truck came of a factory line, run by union labor, in california, in 2005. Also, to qaulify as an american made vehical, 70% of the vehical needs to be made localy (USA BABY). That''ll shut em up.

Hahahaha one of the guys at work just walked in and asked who that foreign piece of trash belonged to that had him blocked in. (Should note here that parking space is extrememly limited at this work location, about half the trucks here are blocked in at the moment, it's really not a big deal.)

To which I replied, "If you mean my domestically-produced truck assembled in America by a company whose shareholders are from all over the world, that would be mine. Is that your taxpayer-owned bailout wagon I double parked on?"

Thank you, TW, for helping me with the comebacks.
