I figured i would post here, since this area seems to get more traffic then the lighting forum. Hopefully that's alright. I just ordered a set of revotec headlight housings and after more reading I've decided to due a projector retro. I'm going to be ordering the mini ds2 kit from trs in the next week or so. My first question is, I've seen some Retros where the inner and outer(I guess turn signal bowls) were somewhat blacked out. Was wondering if this look was done by tinting the bowls or the lenses? Also, what paint is normally used for this? I also plan on blacking out the bowl behind the projector. What paint is normally used here? I know it seems people are using the krypton fusion but, is it flat, semi or high gloss? I would like to complete the lights if possible before I even remove the stock. I've read the mini ds2 kit is a drop in kit. Is there any test fit and alignment procedures that need to be done before reassembling the lenses? I would like to have the complete if possible, the just swap them out one day. Thanks for any feedback.
