Mine has a factory installed Moonroof and I love it when its cool out but you dont want to roll down a window, I just pop it open and it vents so well.

Only complaints I have are mine squeaks.. and I would love for it to be a fully opening Sunroof that slides back.

This. I will never get another vehicle with a sunroof. Then again my vehicles live under threat of snow 9 months a year, and it just beats the seals to death.

Meh, I don't see the point. I drove a grand pre for about 9 months with one. I never opened it.

I love mine in my '99, Live in Phoenix I use the pop-up all the time to vent. I wouldn't mind getting a cloth conversion to be able to open it all the way. However, I know the cloth ones are much noisier and tend to leak.

This is my fourth vehicle with a sun/moon roof and only one ever leaked... I replaced the seals and it never did it again. My issues was forgetting it was open and then having a monsoon storm roll in.

I just got a price of $1100 installed. That is the Webasto Holandia 740. Tis is frm the dealer that installed a Webasto in my 2010 Equinox last year. They do great work and no problems so far with the room in the Nox.

I recently saw a 2nd gen double cab with TWO removable pop-up moonroofs, one over the front seats and one over the back seats -- the two were separated by a remaining "bridge" of roof which still held the dome light. Dunno if it was leak free or even safe but it definitely looked badass!

I've got a 07 dbl. cab. The local "aftermarket" leather/sunroof company installed the new Webasto dual panel roof in mine about 3 months ago.
WAY COOL! The owner is a friend of mine, and was cool with me talking to his installer before the cutting began...cuz i'm real anal with my taco...
The guy was showing me that there are 3 sizes of this dual panel roof. He and I took the 3 templates they use for cutting the roof open, placed them on top...just to see IF the BIGGEST version would "fit". Meaning the cut lines have to fall in between the raised ribs in the sheetmetal, so as not to cause a fubar on the seal around the perimeter...
As luck would have it, the biggest one fit PERFECT! The installer even said, "if its OK, lets go with the big one, it fits better!"
Theres no $$ difference between the diff sizes, btw.
This webasto is the 3rd one they have put in for me in the last 8 years....NEVER EVER had any problems at all! NONE. No leaks, no wind noise. I wanna say they run around $1K...+/-
I give the roof AND the company 5 JALAPENOS!!!:):)

PS. I'm in San Antonio. The dealer that sold/installed the roof is " DEALER SOURCE " 210-366-9919. They do a KICK-ASS job! When they finish, it looks BETTER THAN FACTORY! Really!

I have an '09 double cab, and my sunroof is a 700, I had them leave my sunglass' holder and move the sunroof back a little, works, and looks great, I'm very satisfied!

I'll take some pics of the interior and exterior tomorrow & post them for y'all to see. Next week, the dealer that did the roof is going to do leather finally!! I ordered the same 2tones as the interior is now (dark grey on perimeter, light grey middle. Top center section, darker color) in that top cntr. part they are embroidering in bright red "TRD" + doing the seam stitching bright red also.
She showed me computerized pic if the finished version.... :) hell yeah!!

Now if I could only give the stock radio more "balls", I'll be in tall cotton!!
    Any suggestions?

Has anyone seen a second generation access cab with a moon (retractable slide) or a sun roof?

If i can put my 2 cents in. I have installed a sunroof (Hollanda Webasto 710). I have had it since i bought the truck last June. I think it is awesome, other than the fact i have an access cab and the opening is only about 14".
I don't agree with those who think if it is not stock it is no good. I replaced the stereo immediately as well, and the option for a toyota installed alarm was useless. Aftermarket focuses on just that. They are the experts, and as long as you find a good experience installer, you are set.
I am located out in Vancouver Canada and my cost was $1400.00 taxes in.
