I had mine done today also, and it raised the back about 1 inch. For anyone that had this done a while back, does it settle down, and if so, how long did it take. If it doesn't settle down, I may do 5100's.

    Thanks

My dealership is saying they have never heard about any complaints dealing with the Tacomas. They said they have to have an engineer come down and "load test" my truck. These people are getting on my nerves.

A trip to Columbia might be in order... check the threads about the stealerships that have done the TSB. The one in Sumter did mine, no questions. I know I've seen other stealers listed that have done it, no question.

    Found it....

i would go to a different dealer and take a printed copy of the TSB with you, tell them that you are bottoming out with a small load such as a dirtbike. When I went, I just took the TSB in and said I want this done. They said are you bottoming out, I said yes, and the service rep said ok I will order the parts and call you when they come in. Easy. I guess some stealers are just to lazy to do it.

Toyota called me today and they said my TSB springs arrived along with some other stuff. I will get them put on next week since I'm away for training. This is for my 2010 DC TRD 4x4.

My 2010 TRD OFF ROAD 4x4 have only 3 leaf. Even those I purchased a TOW package. Can anyone tell me the part # for defective leaf.

..I'm still going through problems with Cdn Toyota dealer - TSB3035 is what they're looking at now and it's been a few days.. originally said I was SOL because I was 11 days over the 'in service date' - though I tried to get in a couple of times prior to that but had to cancel due to work... sux but we'll see, though I am not getting my hopes up

Just got a 2010 reg cab 4x4. It has the 3-leafers. The numbers on top of the leaf packs are 48210-04540-K RH, and 48220-04180-K LH, which do not match the weak 3-leafers, or the numbers given for the replacement TSB 4-leafers. I have not had a load in it to test yet, haven't had the truck long enough. I see the TSB specifies access and double cabs, but that some posters have had it done on their reg cabs.

Anyone know the deal here, why my numbers would be different from the other 3-leafers, and the TSB 4-leafers? Could it possibly be fixed for some new 3-leafers? Like I said, I haven't tested it yet under load, will very soon, but I gotta say it rides like it would have no trouble handling a rated load, but on the other hand it is my first Toyota truck and I have no basis for comparison. Just wondering if anyone has any more info yet, before I actually test it.

Per TSB 0305-08. The numbers should be printed on the top of the spring.

The part #s you listed are for regular cab. The part #s on the TSB are for Access & double cabs.

How long, from the first time you talked to them (Toyota Customer Service number?) before they called you back?

I've got a case number for my 2010 almost a week ago but no call yet. They said the dealer was supposed to call me.

    Thanks

Just an update on my previous thread. Picked my truck up this morning from Boch Toyota in S. Attleboro MA. and they installed the new spring assembly and freshly aligned the truck! No hassles at all and they even had the new leaf spring assemblies in stock! Gee I wonder why?!? Also I know this is for the rear leaf spring thread but the also re-flashed the ecm for the tranny tsb. Truck is awesome now. Thank you to all on this site and the actual site itself! :yay:

Hey all...called the dealer today(heritage toyota in VT) to follow up on my harsh ride problem...2010 DC 4x4. She said Toyota is sending new leaf springs but that the 2010 already has the upgraded shocks...

does this sound right? I know some of you mentioned that you got TRD shocks on your non-TRD trucks...

Well - I was 11 days over the warranty and dealer called me today and said that toyota will do a "good will warranty" - the cost is $1200 for the 3 leaf to a 4 leaf, my share would be $250....

Thoughts? Should I go for it? I figure $250 for new leafs is well worth it, but still want to get some opinions...

    Thanks!

My personal opinion is that you should ask them to pay for the whole thing. The problem existed more than 11 days ago...

At first they refused to pay anything.. while I'm not pleased about the $250, it's better than paying the $1200 myself...

IMO it would be $250 well spent. I am still amazed at what a difference it made to the truck. It is much more responsive and sure-footed...even when unloaded.

I have an appt to get the 4 leaf upgrade on my 2010 DC! After driving to OH from VT over Thanksgiving I am glad they are doing it...doesn't take much weight at all in the bed to compress the rear.

They told me that my non-TRD truck already has the upgraded shocks...does that sound right?

Either way I will be happy with the springs...

After 2 1/2 years, decided to get the TSB for "Harsh ride". Called Toyota and the girl I talked to "couldn't find the TSB" even after I gave her the number. She did give me a claim number and told me to go to the dealership and have them check it out. I had a little over 400 lbs. in the bed so I went to the dealership this past Saturday. I was talking to the service writer and he said I didn't have to call Toyota that I could have just come in. He checked serial numbers and said I was eligible for the TSB but it would stiffen the ride. I told him it was a truck and I would rather have a stiff ride than the ride I was getting with a light load in the bed. He said no problem, parts will be ordered and I will be called when they come in. Got a call this morning, the parts are in and set it up for next Tuesday. The dealership was great and didn't give me a hard time like some dealers have been giving some of the guys. Faulkner Toyota of Trevose has been good:thumbsup:. Let you know when I pick it up how it turns out.
