Got the steering creaks

    Suspension making noise? Can't figure out where it's coming from? Have a full suspension setup in otherwise good shape? I do too! And I had all the problems above, I ended up determining that my drivers side tie rod is causing the nuisance noises while turning the wheel when stationary! There are two options here, HD heims for the steering rack, or a standard OE replacement style inner tie rod from the dealer or a local parts store.

    I'd like to upgrade the inners to heims, but retain the outer tie rods OE style in order to keep the weak point at the tie rods and not the rack itself.

    My question, has anyone done half tie rod, half heim style connections for the steering rack before? Pretty easy to do or build?
