So, I blew the bucks on a TRD supercharger - she goes now feels like a 8 instead of a 6. Looking for advice on a upgrade to brakes now - need to slow down quicker :)

Sorry really new - so I have looked at TRD website see the kits for Tundras but not for Tacomas - got a link? Bought the supercharger from trd to maintain warrenty but would rather do brakes myself - any advice on after markets?
    TY

    Unfortunately, only for the X-runner.

Upgrades for the rest of us will have to come from aftermarket.

well i'd say your best bet would be some pads and some dot4 brake fluid....I also have a blown '09 taco and although its much quicker - still can't compare to my summer car. Either way I know the blower will make it 100x more fun in the mud & snow :D:D....did you do the TRD cai with it also - or did it have it labeled all over the kit that the trd cai will void your warranty with the blower ?

as far as brake pads go ebc they have a few to choose from.i always ran them on my quads and dirt bikes.when i need new pads i will only go ebc.as far as rotors i have yet to see a big brake kit remember you have 4 piston calipiers you cant get much better.if anything try some slotted rotors i think ebc has them if not just do a search.

    Lots.
Look into StopTech brakes. They make a big brake kit for our truck.

Edit: I think. Gadget told me that they make a kit for 6 lugged tacomas.

Stoptech makes a 355mm kit for the front, but its for the 4runner which doesn't really matter. Price is $2000ish

You can also get a 355mm kit for the rear.

Trd makes a bbk for the fj cruiser, but its exactly the same size as whats on the truck now except you get new painted calipers, ss lines, drilled rotors and pads. You can get the same thing by buying everything except the calipers from EBC. price is $500ish.
