Hey guys, I'm kinda new to the site as I just bought my Tacoma a few months back. I was looking to change it up some so I had my wheels powdercoated gunmetal grey, just seeing what people thought or should I have just gone with a custom wheel?!

It looks good. But if you like it that's all that matters. And if you don't like it, we can't really talk you into liking it. Glad to have you aboard on TW by the way!

Lol! Thanks! I have to admit that I did plasti dip my emblems on my truck and surprisingly they are very close in color! Thanks for the input guys, when I first got them mounted up I wasn't sure about it but I think they are growing on me! At least no one in my small town will have grey ones, everyone seems to be doing black so thats why I chose grey!

It is! I've got a DCLB and that is a long truck. Takes a while getting used to it. But the extra bed space is nice

I had it done at a small powdercoating shop in a little town by where I live. It wasn't really that expensive, it was about 180 to have all 4 done.

Yeah, the beds on these things are loooooong, but I couldn't imagine not having that space after owning this truck, I used to have a crewcab z71 with that little bed, I couldn't haul anything without leaving the tailgate down!

Not everybody has the money to get it done, doing it yourself can look pretty good and will cost less than $30.

i think it looks awesome man! i'm curious how long you were without your truck for while this was done and roughly how much you had to throw down for that?

I was only without the wheels for about 3 days, I had a set of MB wheels I used while mine were getting powdercoated. It was around $180 to have all 4 done, I went back and forth about leaving the outer lip silver and the rest grey but in the end I just had them all done grey and left the centers of my centercaps left alone to have a lil color mixed in there. As far as people plasti dipping the wheels, its a cheap and easy mod, this was my first experience using it on my emblems and was very impressed how well that stuff worked!
