Yes darknight. Chattanooga is pretty close, I was just there last thursday. about 30-45 minutes. And huntsville al is about an hour away.

Good luck with this. I've had a vehicle stolen before. When we got it bask some kids took it downtown Jacksonville, had a good time in it, until it ran out of gas. Then they crashed it into a poll.

That really sucks man and I'm really sorry to hear that. Can't believe they just broke in and drove it away while you were sleeping?

Either way, you should post on a bunch of forums and regional forums with pictures. Hopefully the cops can find your truck just the way you left it, I love your pics.

Cyber crime often makes the news, but this time a “Cyber Village” was credited as the crime fighters. The cast of characters (other than the thief) were all members of the beyond.ca car enthusiast’s forum. You see, the car was stolen the old fashioned way but was recovered within 48 hours by cyber tracking. Even without a GPS tracker on board the crime was solved by people that shared a love both for cars and for the internet. Fortunately there were cyber friends available to answer Mr. Ironsides desperate plea.

The rare Nissan Skyline GT-R was stolen by a young man that surely believed that he would not get caught. Apparently he enjoyed the test drive so much that instead of returning the car to Mr. Ironside’s specialty dealership he took it home. Little did he know about the cyber hunt that was about to be unleashed.

The trail heated up when Mr. Lynch, a moderator from beyond.ca saw the elusive Skyline GT-R and remembered details of the post that included a New York Yankees baseball cap and some missing fingers of the driver. Right out of a “dumb criminal” file the driver raised his hand in a “rock out” sign and gave Mr. Lynch the perfect opportunity to snap a picture.
Since Mr. Ironside had already filed a police report it was easy for Mr. Lynch to convey information to them. By the next day, among multiple posts one appeared from Mr. Lynch, who is know as JAYMEZ on the forums;

“I FOUUUNNNDDDDD THEM =). And I have pictures Called the police and chased them, also talked to them.”

According to the police that photo was solid evidence. During the next 24 hours several forum members searched for the Skyline GT-R. Information posted by yet another forum member Allen Thompson, also known as Numi, set off a flurry of more posts by more members. A Google map pinpointed the residence and searches on Facebook provided a profile of the suspect. The following morning, after reading new posts throughout the night, Mr. Patel, another beyond.ca forum member know as Dj-Stylz decided to make an attempt to catch the car parked and sure enough he was able to find it. Even though he was on his way to work Mr. Patel informed the police and waited for them to arrive. In the meantime he had another forum friend posted the latest developments.

Mr. Ironside read the post and by 8:45 am he was on the scene. Police showed up shortly after and Mr. Ironside was reunited with his Nissan Skyline GT-R. A good wash, some minor paint repair and some new tires would return it to its pre-theft condition. This story makes me want to join a few more forums - I may need some caring cyber friends someday.

Whew man! I know how that feels. My first whip, a '77 Wagoneer all pimped out from lift/bfg muds to 2 12" and a shag headliner was stolen from my driveway while I was sleeping. Luckily I bumped into a highschool chum about 2 days later and he was like "why didn't you stop earlier, I was flashing my lights and everything", I was like "yeah, where was I driving because my rig is stolen" he told me the area he saw it driving and sure enough I found it about 2hrs later parked on the side of the road. Unfortunately they kids (i assume) had bajaed the crap out of it breaking the motor/trans mounts, fd the front axle, stripping the interior, etc. It sucked donkey balls.

This truck wont be hard to spot.

I remember reading a few months ago about some guy who had his R34 (I think) stolen by some fuckstick kid who claimed he wanted to buy it. He posted it on a forum and within a few hours they had found the kid, followed him and got pics of the fucker driving the car. If I recalll correctly a ton of forum members met up at the kids house who stole it and boxed the car in while waiting for police...

damn that hella sucks man. im sorry.

i hope it gets totalled though. your truck will never feel or drive the same after it gets stolen. just wont be the same. it would suck to have minor damage to it and have it fixed and never ride the same ya know?

post it everywhere. even craigslist. i know people have found their dogs after being stolen when they posted statewide on craigslist. maybe with some luck youll recover it.

sucks man...im a thousand miles away in NY but ill def know if i see your truck. i cant help but look at every tacoma i pass one and yours sure as hell stands out. good luck finding it

I'm speechless as well!!! I swear our world is going to crap! People just don't respect other peoples stuff! Hey, whatever goes around comes around. Hope this person gets his ass whooped, or shot or something!!! I'm crossing my fingers that he will get what is coming to him.

If it was repo'd, The repo company is "supposed" to report it to the local law enforcement agency so the truck is "not" reported as stolen. That is IF it was repo'd and the repo company is reputible.
