Dealer call today and said my AG Pro MT was being held by the govt. inspectors somewhere en route to the dealership. Said it may be released tomorrow or a week or two. He said it happens from time to time and thought it was because it's a rare config.
I have never heard of such. What would they be inspecting?
This was not a truck I ordered, but one he said was coming and I jumped on it.
    Any thoughts?
I ask where and he said Indiana. Dealer is in Memphis. ??
    Crazy stuff.

Like while it was on the car carrier? Perhaps this has something to do with those stupid DOT checkpoints the police conduct on commercial trucks?

Sounds like the continued and deliberate misinterpretation of the elastic clause to allow for the leviathan state to continue its encroachment into a private contract you entered into with a private corporation.

Code for truck was damaged in transit and Josh our body guy is installing a new door, because the car transporter done a Tommy Boy on it. However Josh is only working 40 hours this week, no OT for him as Rachel in Internet sales is digging his foot rubbing technique, he's hoping to move up to the Midwest soon

Unless the transporter got popped by the DOT doing something stupid the story he was given sounds like BS.

I'd ask for some type of proof showing that it was actually inspected by the gov't. Just to make sure that nothing happened to the truck.

They would not return my calls yesterday. I went down to Shreveport and bought one off the lot that was ordered and guy got shipped out of the country. Air Force guy. Anyway, I got me a new AG Pro with a MT loaded up pretty good. Not the best deal but still..... I got it. $750 off MSRP with a touch low on my trade.
Government can keep that other one.

Government doesn’t inspect vehicles. It is possible the car hauler was tagged out of service due to a serious defect, can’t move it till it fixed or they detected an order of alcohol on him and he got a 36 hour out of service tagged on him. Guy I use to team drive with got popped, blew a .0 but still put out of service because DOT said they detected an odor of alcohol.

    Damn bureaucracy...

I’ve driven hammered friends and coworkers home when I was stone cold sober, and I’ll bet you the cab my of truck had “an odor of alcohol”!

You see that vin number on the dash? That’s federal property placed there by the owner...while you can buy, sell and trade a motor vehicle ownership will always stay with the government.
