I'm a federal worker but we're funded differently, so I won't be affected by it. Our facility is Navy Working Captial funded so we have received most of our funding already.

 

I am a contractor for the Gov and my Fed boss deemed us essential personnel. But a lot of people I work with are going to taking a unplanned vacation if this shutdown happens.

 

FUCK "em!

Legislative, Executive, Judicial, no pay...

...imagine the money we save when we don't pay for their insurance, plane fare, town cars, lunch, breakfast, dinners, drinks, fucking hookers, suits, happy endings, and on and on and on.

Those Muther Frickers spend more then a hooker on payday!

 

It would be nice if they the regime shut down, and then stayed that way.

I read somewhere that Congress and the Pres still get paid even if the feds shut down. Any truth to that?

 

I say stop paying congress until they come up with a permanent plan. I bet that will get them moving on the issue! Also, if they expect the military to continue working with no pay, then they damn well better not be sending the welfare checks out.

If the Fed Govt shuts down Congress and the Pres still get paid because they are still working in order to negotiate the new budget. If Congress and the Pres stopped working during the Govt shutdown the shutdown would never end.
