GPS Issues

I have a 2012 Tacoma double cab 4x4 TRD. The GPS works, but the voice/spoken directions does not. Once in a while it will give a direction, but it's completely random. I have gone thru the settings to see if I inadvertently changed a setting. I did try to set up the blue tooth for use with my phone. Somewhere I read that will cause an issue. Last night I unhooked the positive battery terminal in an attempt to reset everything. But apparently it takes a while. I had it off 20 mins or so and it only affected the clock..
I would appreciate any advice y'all might have..

My only advice is too late for you. Avoid in vehicle GPS. Use portable units like Garmin.

Sorry that's not helpful for your situation now. Hope your issue is resolvable.

But if the unit has flaked out on you, keep line one in mind before dropping $ on a repair.

 

I actually have a garmin Nuvi.. I was thinking about throwing it in the truck for those times I need one..
