Hello, I am the proud new owner of a 2016 Tacoma double cab Limited in Super White......and new to this forum. My truck will not initialize the GPS. The clock does not work since its getting a feed from the GPS. Also on the Navigation page, the GPS status on the top left of the screen has a red diagonal thru GPS.

I've tried disconnecting the negative battery cable. I've also called Entune Customer service. I just called the dealer and they said I can make an appointment.

Any ideas or any help would be greatly appreciated.

He asked for help not stupid responses. It's the guys first post and this is how you respond?

    Fine job, fine job.

OP, I don't know why it's not functioning and anything I suggest would be a wild guess. Hopefully it's something simple the service Dept at the dealership can remedy.

Thank you ForeRunner. I will take it to the dealer. Just trying to see if there is a known trick.

possibly dumb question, but did the dealer actually install the SD card? my dealer originally forgot and had to run in to get one.

I didn't even think of the SD card. I noticed in my Subaru but didn't put much though into it.

Can't offer an answer, just an observation. My dealer spent a good hour with me before taking the truck home going over the trucks features, most of it was with the Entune system. Got my phone connected to Entune thru bluetooth, went over the different apps including navigation. Would definitely have noticed that kind of problem.

You had me excited that you were on to a solution. However it did have a card. Thank you though.

Have you tried to reset the Entune system? It will delete any data (phone contacts, etc.) you might have loaded into the system.

I did reset the Entune out in my driveway for a clear GPS line of sight.

The dealer was able to get me into Service. I just dropped it off.

Do you have any kids that might have popped the card out without your knowledge?

Doesn't have to be missing; they only had to 'mess' with it. You're not supposed to take it out willy-nilly.

um that sounds like someone didn't do the PDI inspection correctly and didn't do some initializations.

There's a little push panel in the lower right of the head unit.
