Tuck it away and move on. If everything else is working don't sweat it.

Kinda sounds like there’s more to this…and I don’t own an auto but
If I am not mistaken Truck turns off when you open the door after remote start is used.

Mods please take down this thread before the quibble guy comes in here and starts telling everyone to filter their “steering wheel fluid” with a 1nm reverse osmosis system every 500mi.

Looks like they just forgot to shove that bundle of wires back up under there.
Lazy, yea - but past that, not worth getting all upset about.

Does the truck run/operate as it should?
If yes, then shove those wires back up under the plastic and go on with your life.
If no, then sure, take it back to Toyota but be civil.
Getting all upset at them won't make your life any easier going forward.

If the truck runs, those wires hanging down should be the least of your concerns

It sounds like they bled the brakes, flushed the power steering fluid and changed the oil. . .

Do yourself a favor and read up on the kind of maintenance these vehicles require while you are here. . .
@ 10K - the most they should have done was change the oil

I personally wouldn't let the dealership touch any vehicle I own unless it was a warranty issue
I would definitely NOT pay 500$ for services that I do not understand and most likely did not need

The dealership did/will 100% exploit your ignorance of this subject

Look at the Picture...the white plug to the right, which is your factory DLC,plugs back into the taped harness.Or take the DLC plug from the taped GPS harness out and re-install your Factory DLC

You are not an idiot but you do need to educate yourself on this stuff.
I call dealerships - stealerships for a reason.
    Most are shady AF.

IF your truck runs [does it or are you still having issues, we wanna know] - learn your lesson from this and move on.
Getting upset with them, blowing a gasket will not help you and will be a waste of your time/energy.

Start by learning how to change the oil/filter yourself and please, please, please don't drain the tranny fluid by mistake :D
That is a common one we read about around here!
Dealerships have been known to even screw a simple oil change up because they treat/pay their lube techs like shit.

Lots and lots of intel on TW.
I spent about 8 months trolling around here while I was shopping for mine - learning what to look for and what to avoid and what I may need to fix and parts I wanna buy :spending:

Literally anything you wanna to/need to do to your truck probably has a tutorial, a dozen pics and a few videos to help you sort it out.

Maybe they did the air bag cable replacement? There is recall, cable might rub on something and stop working, so won't deploy airbag. They may have done that if your car is in recall. However, yea cables should not be hanging out, cheap work. Just bring it back and tell them, if they refuse to make it work, well you have to try it yourself.

I personally have hard time to trust dealerships too. We all do I am sure.

I second removing the taped harness. You don’t need a lojack and you are having electrical system issues? Go back to stock.
Whatever that thing is, it ain’t stock

They used electrical tape to mount that? Looks like dealer :duh::poking: to me.

Lots to say, but I’ll just comment on the LoJack- @Xmoonloverx1776 - do you have low credit and have a loan on the truck? Your financing bank may require the LoJack be on the truck so they can repossess if you fail to pay.

It looks to me that this device, whatever it was, plugged into the OCD2 port and the tech unplugged it to connect his/her monitor. Reconnect it and move on.

@JasonLee No I have a very good credit score for my age, and have paid off another vehicle. So I doubt that’s why they have the LoJack on my truck.
