Followed the break in guidelines and stayed off the pedal. Now at about 750 miles I've been loosening the reins some and really liking the feel.

Spoiler, risky Friday content to follow :):

Accumulating the first fluid change supplies for a 1000 mile change. I'm going Redline in the transmission, transfer, and diffs. The engine oil is going to be Walmart Supertech Advanced Synthetic. I know, but I trust the API and ILSAC rating systems (and Toyota engine designers) to give my engine the protection it needs. I am going to watch the impact on pressure and temperature to see if the Supertech oil results in any change. If it does negatively impact, I am going to go in for a Toyota service oil change and see if that negative impact is reversed with Toyota part # oil. Basically, a little oil performance trial.

If I were to go for a track day event, I'd change the oil and go to at least 5W-30, depending on air temps, maybe a little thicker.

No mods yet, but I am really leaning towards using part of the money I get from the sale of my Jeep to implement some vinyl variant of the classic Toyota stripes. I wanted the Ice Cap paint so I could have kind of a blank canvas for some custom scheme and I've always like this traditional look. Not 100% decided, but getting close.

I really wanted a GR, but alas my wallet won out. I guess I'm saving the planet with my hybrid

Thank ya! I'll be ls swapping the Taco soon enough so a sensible daily was my compromise. I'm seeing 60+ mpg in warm weather.

I hit my 1000 mile mark today. Combination of city/hwy, with no stop-n-go traffic. I am normally in Eco, except when I want to let her rip. Then I go to Sport. So really not much use of Normal.

I drove a 2003 V-6 Camry for 20 yrs as daily and averaged about the same. But, not nearly as enjoyable.

You're in Southwest Indiana? That bridge looks pretty familiar.

Yes. That's the closed bridge across Wabash River at New Harmony. I live in Evansville.

I thought so. I used to run around over there a bunch. Took that bridge over to Phillipstown and Crossville a bunch.I live in Owensville, originally an Evansville guy. If you see this thing out, feel free to give a shout.

I got my GR from Uebehlor Toyota in Jasper.
Man, that is a nice truck. I definitely will.

My user name is in reference to "West Side" of Evansville. Bought my GR Cororlla from Uebehlor in Jasper. Got really lucky as they had a refusal on an order and I just happened to call the same day it came in. I'd been looking since Sep and got it Dec 26th.

I've been working on a CAD image for a wall hanger sign. I'm not a huge fan of the 5 spoke wheels. Still going to work on at least a 6 spoke, so don't be too critical of the wheels. Can't get too tight with detail or I'd just do stock as I like those fine and it would match my car.

Right now I was planning on about 12" tall x 18" wide as max size.

On the car, the area that shows as white would be painted body color on the back layer of the sign. The rockers are the only area I didn't have a good idea how to create (not enough body color). If there are any of you who work with CAD and want to suggest something, let me know.

I may also add some door handles. Any areas that look too far off?

I'm usually a fan of 5 spoke wheels but I like the ones on the front better.

Thanks guys. I may play around a little more with the multi (widen spokes a touch), but I tend to agree. The 5 spoke looks kind of like a toy car wheel and becomes center of attention.

You're probably already aware of this site, but I used it to try and find one within driving distance. Just enter your own zip code at the left margin.
