Finished this up a while back and forgot to post it. Not a very good pic, but I'm happy with the sign.

I added the rocker molding stripes a few days ago. I've also completed a lot of other mostly appearance mods since I posted here.

    Front to rear:

    yellow fogs
    RacerX spherical shifter bushings
    Rockblokz Splash Guards
    window visors
sequential turn indicators in the side mirrors
    Coverking dash mat
    GR radio knob
    lighted door pull cups
    stitched arm rest covers
    LED cargo lights
    cargo net
LED rear bumper lights to replace reflectors
    LED backup lights
    16" rear wiper blade
Mishimoto Wheel Spacers - 15mm FR and 25mm RR(not installed in pic)

I've got Redline fluids bought for all driveline and will soon be changing to those. I'm at 3600 miles and planned to change them around 5000.

I also have some Endless Super Street M-Sports Plus brake pads from BlackHawk Japan. Word is they are as good as OEMs but with much less dust. About $210 incl shipping (thanks exchange rate!). I'm in no hurry on those, but sometime this Summer.

I have a list of other things about two pages long that I want to do. As soon as I sell a jeep and a Dodge diesel pickup I'm going to invest in some vinyl or paint for the body. I haven't decided completely on design, but white will still be the base with additional colors to highlight the body lines.

+10hp right there! I know, remove the backing. I like the graph paper background

So I bought one. Didn't buy it used like I said I would. After seeing the used prices I figured I would just get a new one that I knew had the break in followed and the fluids changed....etc. Anyways here it is. Red Core with the performance package. I'm a bit obsessed so far.

Wise move. Now that MSRP is the norm, that's the smart move. With this being a car that practically asks to be run hard, you just never know what it's short life may have been like.

Even buying new there is a risk with every salesperson and tech wanting to "see what she'll do". The best/worst story is the guy whose engine grenaded. Toyota determined due to severe over-rev during missed shift. After lengthy back and forth on warranty claim, turns out the missed shift was the day before he picked it up.

Blown engine car replaced under Lemon Law | Toyota GR Corolla Forum - Ownership Discussion

There's another story about the guy who signed papers and went back the next day to pick it up. Something like 21 miles and had been put on the car overnight and the front end was severely mis-aligned. That story is about Karl Malone dealership in Utah.

Yea. A sports car will be a temptation for most of the sales people and other to just let it rip. I got mine in Boise with 3 miles and drove it back to Utah. So I got to do most of the break in right then. It was annoying having different speeds constantly though on the way back.

I didn't really know what these cars were until now. I was out in my STi today and me and a GR Corolla were having fun on the freeway. We both got on the onramp at the same time and he was accelerating nice so I just followed him up to about 115. good times. I see they are awd drive which is a big plus!

I had a tough time reaching the traction limits of the core edition on city streets. Do you plan on tracking it or have a big itch to upgrade?

I'm not judging just curious. We are starting to get circuits and I obviously wont push a customers car hard enough to see the benefit.

Honestly no plans of tracking it. Just a great car to daily drive. The Circuit just adds more premium features that the core doesn’t offer.

I got 30% ceramic on all but the windshield earlier this week. I got a strip across the top of the windshield (old school (like me)).

I'm really happy with the results. The window visors kind of disappear in the pic but are still visible in real time. $440 at a nearby tint shop. TBH, not sure if that's a good or bad price for ceramic.

    20240802_182010.jpg

Also added the Powerflex torque bushing about a month ago. Zero NVH increase. Between this and the spherical shifter bushings, there is some improvement in smoothness. Huge, no. Noticeable, yes.

Dealer appt 8-4 for leaking right side rear axle seal. Pretty bummed about that at <5000 easy miles.

    Blowback on muffler.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
    I'd say $440 is a fair deal.

I paid $475 for all sides and rear window using Formula1 Pinnacle ceramic window tint in Northern California

Welp…. I too bought one today to compliment my Tacoma…. Everyone needs to go test drive one of these things cause it’s such a fun frantic and easy to drive car. Amongst the best manual cars I’ve driven and it came home with me… 2024 Circuit Edition GRC

I'll be over in the morning leave the keys under the mat, I'll fill the tank up before I bring it back.

I saw one of the blue ones today yeah it was nice. Could make for a nice Pro color.
