mine has gradually improved with more miles. I’ve got a bit over 6000 miles and it bumped up right after my oil change (amsoil signature).. I’m getting like 5 more mpg on the same trips. It’s super strange but I’m not gonna complain

The turbo noises made me do it…. Probably like 2.5x more induction and blowoff sounds than stock. Has all the cool sounds now IMG_5960.jpg

Nothing major, but I put in the IMT pigtail that leaves it on by default, install was super simple

Swapped out the center console for one from the regular corolla, PN 5833-12180-C2 for anyone interested

Also peeled that stupid sticker by the wireless charger off while I had easy access with the console out

Mine also gradually went up. First 1000 miles or so I was in the 26-27mpg range. I've never reset it and at about 5500 miles (9mos old) it's sitting at 29.2 lifetime average.

I used to drive in ECO unless I wanted to play, but the last three tanks of fuel have been run in Normal. It's only dropped from 29.3 to 29.2 with that roughly 650 miles on Normal. I didn't really change my driving style and it's all local miles on pretty much the same streets. I know 650 is only 12% of the lifetime miles, so I expect it to continue down a bit, but I'm thinking 1-2 mpg at the most.

I think the car shifts a bit smoother in Normal vs ECO. Then again, that could be all in my head. :jpow:

I replaced my tires and wheels today. Been waiting on the replacement lug nuts for a few days.

Fifteen52 Turbomac wheels with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+ tires. Requited a concentric hub adapter.

I like it. Kinda looks rally inspired. Keeping my OEMs for Summer.

Man, those Michelins would not be good on any slick surface.

Thanks. I'm about 11 months/6000 miles into owning it and it still makes me smile every time I walk in the garage.

Got a better pic earlier this evening.

Crazy to think I’ve had mine almost two years now, and I still smile when I see it in the garage too

I'll still drive mine over the Winter but will avoid salted roads. I'm in S Indiana. We don't get a lot of snow and ice, but there's still enough salt laid down every year to eat a Tacoma frame in 10 years or less . I really don't want to apply Fluid Film so... being retired I can pick and choose those Winter drives days.

Luckily, I live near the County Line and the adjacent county population is low, so they don't salt a lot. Hoping to slip across the line and get some snow action in with the GRC.

I probably will next year some after I get some new tires. I'm still on the original pilots and waiting for those to wear out before swapping to some all seasons.
