My brother (ex military) told me that every group used different coding for their "sensitive items" so he had no idea what was in those cases. He was stationed at Carson but made no reference that they might be from there. Makes sense though since they were a local buy off CL.

Yeah, if the four digit number is what I think it might be, its the unit designation. And if that's the case, your case used to belong to some legit badasses. Fun to think about and pretty cool regardless.

Mine has 50-CAL on it, both heavily used so I bet they saw some action.

Only way I have ever seen it written from 7 years active duty is Company Battalion/Regiment so for me A co 3/227th Avn, C co 2/227th Avn etc. Then they moved those to Ft Hood from Germany and I swapped to 501st Regiment.

Any updates on the awning? Have you had a chance to use it much yet? I'm debating between one of these or just and ARB awning.

I have had it out a few times. Once in some decent wind. No issues yet. I have not been able to deploy it in an overnight situation. That will be soon.

Does it seem to be pretty sturdy once deployed? How far out from the truck does it cover, both on the side and back?

Study yes. As sturdy as a Foxwing probably not. But it will work for me. Measurements... well I will have to get some this weekend. That will be the first time I can get to it.

When you have a few spare RAM Mount parts and come up with a brilliant mod for the garage. :D
