Does not have to be Dewalt but has to have the right mounting tip to fit. So I have always bought Dewalt one's. Just get some metal cutting ones if you are getting them. I haz plenty of wood cutting ones. :D

I read this page and imagined Noah goin to town on a dollhouse with a sawzall! The picture in my head was hi-larious.

I don't think Hobby Lobby sells blades for sawzalls.

For some reason, thats the first thing that popped into my head when I read Hobby Lobby. IDK. I don't even remember the last time I was in a Hobby Lobby.

Anyway, it could be the lack of sleep and the abundance of cold medicine I have been taking. ANyway, sorry to jack your build Eric, I'm done :D

Well got the holes drilled, the grinding done, and test fitted everything on the bed rack. Monday it is off to Powder Coat. :)

The rack itself minus the table inserts. The angles of the photo make it look off but it is actually really square.

Bed space I am reclaiming now. Those Hi-Lift mounts on my truck bed will be for sale soon. Also going to have the bed box Line-Xed black this spring.

Gives you an idea of how it sits. We mounted it further back so that I could access the tool box as needed. But it can be moved forward.

Rockgecko03 came up with this entire design and did all of the cutting and welding. I had an idea to use the current bed rail cleats to hold the rack in and Ben went to work coming up with a functional design that securely holds the rack in the bed and give you built in tie downs. Great job Ben! This allows me to side the rack forward in the rail system and re-secure as need.

The finished product will have a total of 4 Rotopax 2 gallon gas tanks. 2 per side. I have also picked up the Rotopax extensions and will eventually add a First Aid / Preparedness Kit and water containers from Rotopax. High Country 4x4 just got a huge shipment of Rotopax in. It is nice to buy locally.

Once it comes back from powder coat I have to assemble the table inserts which are made from AL. Going to put some Lock Tite 375 adhesive under them and 6 self taping screws per slat to make sure they do not come loose. Glad to have this project almost finished.

Looks great. Still keeps a low COG and reclaims the needed bed space!

Very nice, I am planning on something similar as soon as I get enough $$ for a welder.
Good work Ben. Might have to steal the plans.

Ah I will soon have a garage that will support a 220v welder and that is on the purchase list this year.

Ben does great work that is for sure!

By the way those colors we discussed on the powder coat are coming true. :D I saw it at the shop today as it is right next to where we take the dogs swimming. All bare metal now. I had to have them media blast it. It was taking forever to grind off that paint that was on there. They blasted the AL slats too.
