True. That Whiteline kit goes for about a buck sixty on the intrawebz.

Yeah he recently got a set to put in his wife's 4r and felt they were actually pretty nice. About $25 per BJ. Interesting because they are greaseable and they don't have a boot on. them. We will see how well they do.

What is the purpose of reinforcing the bushing surround? That’s something I haven’t heard of before.

@montainmonkey Yeah like Eric says the surround can split open and leave you stranded. Not too many cases of this and most seem to happen with DB lifts but figured if we are rebuilding OEM arms might as well also add some reassurance.

I still need to do this myself. My alignment cams are seized so it’s only a matter of time until I gotta chop them off.

Looks like you’re missing a whole lot more than the LCAs... looks like you’re about ready to start putting stuff back in though.

It’s good insurance. Long travel is built that way. Just think of it as a gussset.

I've been thinking of grabbing a set of lca's and doing this exact thing for months. How thick steel was used to reinforce the bushing bores?

We tired to match the 14ga steel that the surround is made out of. Closest I found was 1/8".
