End of day 2 update: Rear diff ready install. Front diff hit a snag - shims in the kit were nothing like the factory shims with holes in them. On top of that there were not enough included to set the backlash properly. So we ordered factory Toyota shims with the holes in them but they will not be in until Tuesday. So tomorrow we will get the rear back together and most of the front except the diff.

for whatever reason i was thinking about ur truck:D once the truck is rolling again, ask brian if he thinks resetting the memory on of the ecu for your trans would be a good idea? im wondering if it would relearn how to shift and when to shift better with the different gear ratios if we did that....

Yes sir! We discussed that but are going to reset it once I have the 315's on and confuse the fuck out of the ECU then. :D

Thought is that we are getting it close to stock so it should learn the shift points faster as if it were stock again. Or do you think it should be reset with gears alone and then reset again after 315's go on?

Hmmm anybody have a write up for the process of resetting the ECU? Had gears since T-Giving time, or has it relearned by now?

Started in on the fender trimming today to fit 315's. Got the front done. Tomorrow the rear.

You could have avoided all of that work if you just put a 6" lift on it :) :p
