Graphic designs on 3rd Gen

My kid brother is a graphic designer for cars, motorcycles etc etc. He sent me a design for my Tacoma and I don't like it. Would you guys put something like that on yours. I think this would please the younger guys but not for me the old man. My tacoma is in the inset.

Trying to make it look like a Dodge Ram if you ask me. Plus we all know it is a Tacoma no need for advertising.

 

Nope, it's really over the top in my opinion, and it just seems like a huge billboard for no reason.

 

Maybe the black on the Scoop (inset) look good but the rest no.

Too much, imo. At first glance Id assume it was lettering for a business. At the very least, Id lose the verticle stripe on the bed and make the mountain/horizontal stripe 3x-4x smaller. Did you reach out to your brother or did he just drop this on you?

 

Well, he'll just have to do what he might have to do for an unsatisfied client - try again!

I don’t think this pleases the younger generation because it doesn’t please me at all. Sorry, it’s a no for me, but you can put it on your truck for a couple of months just to make your bro proud. If you will, please don’t choose the one on the bed, and ask the decal color to be the EXACT color match with your truck.

 

I am a automotive artist and I have to give your brother a thumbs up for trying.
I have toyed with some ideas for my own Tacoma but its still a blank canvas.
The Tacoma doesnt really have any lines to follow to do much of anything that would blend in.
Even a pinstripe doesnt really work.

 

Ah, no thanks. Might as well put yhe giant "HONDA" sticker across thw front of the windshield too.

I like some graphics ive seen that have a few mountain peaks and what not. That doesnt look bad in my opinion. Not a fan of TACOMA plastered all over.

 

This is what a graphic designer sent you? Looks and personal taste aside the graphics and design are poorly executed.

WTF is going on with the letters on the vertical "Tacoma?" They're all pushed to the left. Nothing matches the body lines. The "Toyota" on the tailgate is over the embossed "Tacoma." Yikes.

I'm just a guy with a computer and no graphic design talent and I could do this, or better, in 10 minutes in Paint.

I hope your kid brother is truly a kid and uses the term "graphic designer" loosely.

 

Looks awful, IMO. I mean it says "Tacoma" three times on the side of the truck which is nearly as redundant as the number of cup holders in these things.

 

He just dropped it on me. Hoping I would bite so he can sell and install it but no go for it

if I was gonna entertain any ideas for graphics it’d be heritage inspired yellow/orange/red but that’s a long time in the future after I’ve smashed the body up good

 

Like mentioned at the OP I am not interested just wanted to share with you guy to see if any like it, But I guess just like me I don't and would not put that on my Taco even if it is free.
I never asked for opinions on how great of a designer my brother or any other insulting comments. Anyways should of known better than to post on TW so much negativity as always.
