    Ok, ok. I’ve sworn off salt as a weed and grass deterrent. But you have to admit, municipalities and states in northern States have dumped a hell of alot more during a minute of snow storm- not that that’s ok...

    Appreciate all the suggestions!!

    Should’ve clarified in the OP the salt I dumped was to expedite the break up of ice....

    Drive on it. My driveway is just about a 1/4 mile, grass in the middle does not bother me a bit and if there is any left I'll plow it come winter any way.

    http://npic.orst.edu/factsheets/glyphogen.html I dont use salt but do spray weed killer on stuff. Usually the home depot brand concentrated stuff. Stuff comes back the next year or even a couple months down the road but its better than having to mow weeds.
