I never thought curling would be that big in the US. Everybody curls up here, just like darts in the UK. I’m sure i’ll Catch the mind blowing highlights in slo mo in the morning. What’s on the haul tonight?

 

Yup tv night! No work since the temps warmed up. Barge is empty waiting for orders in the anchorage.

Not working but up anyways. 39week preg wife is sawing logs so loud that I’ve resorted to the couch.

 

You work nights and don't sleep with earplugs?

 

No, I’ve tried but they throw off my equilibrium.

During the days that I’m home alone I use a white noise sound machine. Weekends, we don’t use it.

Plus, at this stage in the game; i have to be super vigilant for when she may go into labor and head to the hospital.

 

True. I'm one of the kind of lucky ones with earplugs, I guess.

For BS noise (traffic, dogs outside, normal daytime noises) they work great and I sleep like a log. With other noises though, odd noises like if my wife's upset or sick, door knocks I'm not expecting, or other unexpected noises I pretty much always wake up right away.

 

Only time I can successfully use ear plugs are the wax ones for swimming or foam ones when i know what’s going on, NHRA races, monster trucks, GRC races, some concerts, etc... still makes me slightly dizzy but I’d rather preserve my hearing.

Edit: any abnormality on my property while I’m sleeping will alert me via my phone and motion sensors.

 

Usually no. But when they are planting or harvesting the field next door...

Different story.
