Think I've worn the foam ones too long & now my ear canal gets irritated. Alarm sound wake me instantaneously. I'd like to know more about a white noise generator if y'all could enlighten me.

 

I snapped pics of the first one I came across. There are many out there that plays different sounds. I keep a fan running.

I wear ear plugs 12 hours a day at work I’m not wearing them to sleep. I just turn on the tv and let it mask the other noises in the house.

 

Ditto on the fan.

 

im used to sleeping with 4600 HP of white noise machine.

at home im close to the state road but as long as i fall asleep to some music im usually good through the night even right through morning rush hour usually.

if not i get a little assistance from the pharmacy or from the bottle.

 

Nothing like the sound of singing turbos to lul you to sleep, Lol!

 

oh yea, two stage turbo's. those baby's really whistle past 1550RPM

 

Got a Cat genset like that. Load bank on 5/10 she starts spoolin' the tune.

 

I sometimes use this to fall asleep as well; it was recommended by my neurologist after I struggled to fall asleep for my apnea test. I definitely suggest it to help clear your mind and get the heart rate down.

After 8 weeks off for vacay......im finally back to work. They did away with our graveyards and I didn't want to lose my 10% shift differential bonus, so...2nd shift it is.

 

10%?!? Damn! Ours is $1/hr night and 1/hr weekend.

 

So does this work well for you?

I sleep fine on work days, but have a miserable time trying to sleep on my nights off. I got some prescription sleeping pills that work really well (boy do they ever!), but I hate using them much at all if I can avoid it.

 

Ours is $2.75/hr and another $2.75/hr for weekends. My last job (union shop) a whopping .21¢/hr for third shift Back on tonight after the weekend off.

 

Weekend nights where I work is 25%...
