File audit of 5000+ started last night. because “night shift doesn’t do anything”.

We do ours during our july shutdown. 1st shift has it complete in 4 hrs and we have to verify their numbers.

We all got the surprise email today, the "hey - what are your major time use categories, and how much time is used by each?" email.
It's due by the time I'm off this morning at 6am. Yay me. :annoyed:

    Oh that's MEAN!

I was 4 beers in when I could finally get to bed last night; I think a few of us share the same pain.

This takes much, much longer than that. check schedules, incl/excl zones, update case history, personal info, vic info, proper signatures. And enter it all into a spreadsheet while matching all the information in the paper file to the virtual file. all stuff that should’ve been done upon enrollment. I try to knock out about 20-30 a night on top of all the other real-time stuff that’s going on. They blew smoke up our asses saying that we “get to do it because we’re the only ones who’d do it right” right after saying we do nothing. I need to find a new job.

Thanks, but I'm out now. Just a filthy contractor trying to cash in, lol.

What part of Colorado are you from? I just moved to Fountain now that I'm at Carson. The beers in the area are out of control. I just can't put those damn Breckenridge Salted Caramel's down.

    I'm in Loveland.

We have so MANY great small breweries here! Big Beaver, Loveland Aleworks, are a few of my favorite local go-to's. The bratwursts at Big Beaver are freakin' delish!

    Same, same.

I seem to be doing better than my folks generation, but I do worry.

Nice, how are the jeep trails up that way? I usually meet friends at Rampart Range for the mx trails. We normally stage just west of Denver and make our way down towards Divide & finish up at the Irish pub there.

I've pretty much just explored Gunnison and all the areas west between Denver & Grand Junction. Anywhere you'd recommend North of Denver?

Ours is a total half-ass effort, it's not even worth the paper its printed on.

I look at how many SRs I completed, how many classes/meetings I went to, and categorize the other fires I put out. I assign a reasonable estimate of time to all that and VOILA!

It really seems like busy work to me so I hate it, but apparently my manager's boss values it.

It wasn't too long after I got my Tacoma that I got put on weekend nights, so sadly I haven't been able to explore much at all.

    This is an interesting discussion.

I know alcoholism/substance abuse/divorce rates are astronomical for shift workers. I just do the best I can to keep from becoming another statistic.
