Ding-dongs broke a TPMS sensor when I got my KO2s, glued it back together and it held FOR...

13,000-ish miles.

This was discovered at my 20K service.

 

Just a few days ago, my SA told me that i had a nail in my tire. I didn't believe him until he showed me the picture. i was like, damn not again.

Now that i think about it, my workplace has lots of putholes. Big and small and alot of work has been done on surrounding areas at my site. So likely someone just didn't care to pick up the loose nails or bolts.

 

Yeah, he had a couple bruises but thats about it. he was wearing his seat belt.

 

Up for 3 day shifts before nights again next week.

 

Stop driving where the nails are.
Had a small doe dead to rights tonight, she was in a dead run toward the road we were on a collision course! I stood on the brakes a steered hard left then she cut back out into the field

What a weird night.

So far it seems like my co-workers in the fab are all enjoying the finest that Colorado has to offer. I've closed TWO SRs just with phone calls into the room, I almost had a third one closed but the operator was having a rough time with technical terms like "that big green knob, you can't miss it". That one took me longer to suit up than it did to fix the tool.

I was surfing another forum tonight, I mean why not? I'm not having to suit up for anything. There was a thread about the feasibility of shipping arms to South American farmers. I was reminded of some of the "colorful characters" I met during my travels back then, and why I initially resisted my wife's urgings to watch "Sons of Anarchy". Keep in mind these events WERE during the late 80's - early 90's. I have:

...been paid in pizza by an international arms smuggler to help move a wood stove.
...played chess with a medium scale methamphetamine distributor.
...worked as a flagman with a member of a large-ish motorcycle club who offered me and a buddy of mine a fairly decent paying job running stolen cars back and forth from Mexico (no, we didn't).

It's really hard to believe where you've been sometimes.

Yeah, it's pretty fking horrible.

That said, at least I'm off at 6!

 

I’m off at 0500....only 4 hrs to go then my weekend

 

Off at 7:00! Then the weekend

 

10pm-6am for 6 more nights then I get a 4 day weekend plus 2 vacation days

 

Doing just that right now... and in an epic battle with mice in the process
