The waaahmbulance. Even after almost 10yrs in the ER, it still amazes me some of the reasons people use one to come to the ER.

 

I'm in FD and see so much bullshit all the time and it's usually the same people.

 

Haha yes the boo boo bus. And i totally agree it’s crazy what people think is worth calling an ambulance and then sitting in lobby for. It’s especially funny when they think an ambulance ride while shorten their wait time and then sit them straight in the lobby with everyone else.

i bought my truck and was going to keep it stock and then I got the bug and it started rolling and the list of wants gets longer and longer

 

I think the prison is running a special on chest pain.

 

Anything to get out and see pretty women for a minute. I'd do it for sure.

Or the drunks that get pulled over and get the cops to bring them to the ER rather than jail.

Staff: "What brought you into the ER tonight?"
Pt: "I've been throwing up"
Staff: "How many times?"
Pt: "Can I have some food and a coke?"

 

In 7 years I can count on less than one hand the times I've seen PD bring intoxicated people to jail, they always talk them into going with the ambulance.

 

I will definitely get the camper shell and sliders. I can use that for camping. I even designed a sleep platform out of 1x1 aluminum tubing this weekend. I would love to eventually get bumpers, skids, and FN Pro wheels, but I don't know that I'll actually need that stuff. I've been able to justify the others as "needs"

 

I’ve seriously had someone call from the lobby of one hospital and ask to go to the other one! Needless to say I walked her happy ass back into lobby and if she had just been inside waiting like a normal person they had already called her name

We have a satellite ER between the two closest here. Now that our systems communicate with each other it’s cut a lot of that down.

 

And then will throw a fit b/c they got skipped over. I've been cussed out a few times b/c of that.

 

We run on them several times a day, mostly smoking synthetic. Now days they are afraid of people dying in jail and getting sued, so they go to the hospital and repeat the next day.

 

They are opening up one of those in Auburn near the university. They're hoping it cuts down on the main campus. We get quite a few from Auburn and Tuskegee. Which is somewhat understandable, out of town kids with no primary doc.......and our doc in the boxes close at 9pm.
