Yea back at it again

 

Last night, then a four hour class (it's going to be an awesome class though ), then a nap, then

 

We'll the rain lighting and wind has hit now hopefully the tornado don't come around

 

Back to "normal" hours for a month.. Rebuilding the main engine..

TIG'd up a TV antenna bracket and a crankcase breather (on an auxiliary) today. Started at 8 am, finished at 9 PM..

 

Load plans complete. 6 hrs 45 mins 'til go home time.

 

Finishing up the lightest part we make. An "lms 100" forward stub shaft weighing in at a paltry 3000lbs. It's so cute!! It looks like the baby of the 9fa forward stub shaft @ 9 tons.
(My least fav part).

however the highlight of my night was a dodge ram caught fire somehow right outside of our safety office

 

dismally slow here.
Oh well, easy money tonight.

 

Nice irony.

 

yea, the sad part was no one in that office noticed until the guy in the fork lift came flying over to get fire extinguishers. He had to use the forks to fling open the hood after the grill melted in order to put out the the fire.

 

What's going on?

 

Just got done working out while at work. How are things going up there?

 

Another slow night here ... two in a row; but that's the airlift business.

Need to start bringing my gym bag into work and do the same.

 

I know the feeling, I wont be doing anything at work until early tuesday morning.

What do you do to pass the time in an air hangar? play around with a forklift?

 

Too many cameras for that ... now back in the day (15 yrs or more back)

Now it's TW, YouTube, or movies. While boringly painful, I call these slow nights "easy money."

 

My job is a nightmare I guess. Rarely a quite night. Always some crazy crap going on. And they announce April 1st there will be no more tobacco use on site. Yup, that's really gonna help my nerves. No more chew! Dammit!!

 

Sorry man. That sucks.

We have bad nights, moderate nights, and then some really slow nights every so often. Tonight is one of the slow ones.
