I miss mine for the width.

The 3rd gens are nice, and comfortably sized for road trips, but they're fat pigs on trails.

Or do you mean a different gen?

This is how mine currently sits. With the tiregate on the rear.

I never realized that until I started researching them. That's why I went with a 2nd gen. It was what I wanted....and could afford

I do too. I just finished up that jar of baby Claussens from the other night :D Some of my coworkers tell me that they sell pickle popsicles at the ball park. I figured it'd be kind of weird walking into a park by myself just for a popsicle

Saw those pickle slushies. I'd try one myself. I drink pickle juice strait out of the jar anyway, although, I never did that till I moved to the south.
Also use it to chase liquor with sometimes.

That looks just like the one I was looking at in 2010, but it was a pre-runner so I went with the TJ.

Sonic used to have a cream pie milkshake; like coconut cream pie, banana cream pie, etc.

    MAN those were good!

A friend of my Dad's had an old locked 2-wheel drive Chevy pickup.

I learned to never underestimate where locked rigs can go!

Little momentum, good set of tires, air down to 20, work the skinny pedal and always have a backup plan.

To be honest, I would be perfectly fine with one. When I started looking at the TJ/Taco, I wanted a 4wd(was going to be my first one). I rarely ever use my 4wd, but when I have.....I was glad to have had it.
That shit is sooooooooo good.

It's true about having it and not needing it.
I've learned alot and I know the limitations of it. I have to, I wheel alone alot.

I never felt the need to have a 4wd until I drove one in snow. We obviously don't get much snow in Oklahoma, but a few years back we had a freak winter with quite a bit of snow. I was driving a 4wd Explorer that I had never once used 4wd in. I finally had a reason to use it, and after that I decided I would never go back!

Gotcha. I'm not really a "wheeler". I had never owned a truck, and wanted something to camp/kayak with and not have to have my trailer. I'm pretty sure I would have been more than fine with a pre-runner. I loved my 95 4runner(it was 2wd, my parents said if they were buying, I'm not getting a 4wd . I was 16 when that year model came out), so I went looking for Toyotas at the start.

The same thing kind of happened with me. We got some snow down here a few years ago. It shut this place down for 3 days. I was able to leave b/c I had 4wd and didn't have to get shuttled over to the hotel(I was going into my off days anyway). I actually got to drive around and take people home and go get my manager that morning. I use to go snowboard every year in Co, so driving in snow wasn't as "new" to me as most down here.
