Extra rotating mass, loss of mpg and torque from the mass being closer to the OD of the wheel. Compromised driving quality on wet or frozen surfaces.

I'd say sound but my gf and I just tell at each other in regular conversation anyways because we are both deaf so there's that.

I see, I see. I’m hoping that because the courser MXT is pretty light weight, maybe those negatives will be minimized. I don’t mind a small mpg loss and I fully expect it. I also don’t expect it to perform very well in rain and snow (thankfully we don’t get a lot of either around here). Torque is pretty much a non-issue for daily driving, because I drive like a grandpa everywhere I go.

    It's a great size, 265/75r16.

I'm just a tich off from that with 265/70/17s, but they look the same, really. C load is the way to go as well, I had E load 265/70/16 KO2s (whatever stock size is for TRDOR, anyway), and the ride with those is REALLY stiff!

That's how my grabber AT2's were as well. Unfortunately I'll need the extra protection in the sticks. The shale mountain was nuts. Like floating down a mountain of marbles with razors mixed in

I've heard the C load tires are fine for out here, we have a mix of clay/sand/sandstone that can be a bit brutal at times.

I have to figure out how best to carry a full-sized spare, I have one, I just don't know where to put it. :anonymous:

You should be able to stuff it underneath. Pretty sure guys can deflate 285/75r16 to the point where they can get it under there.

Or just rig something up for the ...back? ....side rail. Bolt it up and put a lock on her.

I have a nice wheel for it though, so underneath is out as I don't want to scratch that.

I just need something to secure it in the bed so it doesn't slide around too much, I gotta fit it under a tonneau cover too.

Yeah, dammit, that's what I WANT to do. :D

If $$ was no option I'd go with one of those "Decked" slideout setups, a nice bedrack, and a swingout. I promised myself no more mods 'til spring, I HATE this site!

You could always go with the one from Aluminess and protect your lights:rofl:

I’m currently running 265/70/16 wheel/tires (Goodyear Wranglers) off a 2017 Tacoma. They look great, ride nice and as a bonus my speedo is dead on! I think my stock 17s probably road a little harder as mines a TRD Sport.
