Think I might go with a multi-process machine on my next one. Looking at a Lincoln 210MP for my next one. I'd like the ability to mig aluminum this time around. Also thought it may be fun to learn dc tig.

My welder I have now is fine it just needs a new gun and apparently it has to be custom made. Also the connections that Lincoln is telling me I need and the one place that can order one those, the connections don't match the ones on my welder.

 

Cause I'm being lazy.........Sup

 

Just got done playing a game on the xbox. Thinking of calling it a night and going to bed and get a little more sleep for a change.

 

If I was to start over I'd get a Harbor Freight Vulcan welder. The MIGMax 215 is at the top of my list. It is an awesome MIG welding rig that can be used for aluminum with the spool gun assessory.

The warranty on these is just short of amazing. 1 year unconditional warranty. Miller, Hobart or Lincoln don't even do that.

These machines are not even in the same category as the original craptastic Chicago Electric MIG welders. Those things are plain, shit.

The quality is the same as my Miller units. These things are so good they will drive the price down of the domestic units.

 

No, god damn way I'm clicking on that! It'd be like that "What does a fox say?" song. It would be stuck in my head for weeks.

IMO I'm not a fan of multiprocess machines. I just like a good solid wire feed machine, and I keep my Tig machine separate. For more casual users anyways you can get by with the cheapest Tig welder in the world.

I'd rather spend my more money on a better with fed machine than spend the same money on a lesser might and Tig machine, if that makes sense.

So don't I. Lincoln hands down makes the best pipe line welders. Although the Miller pipe pro diesel genset is giving it one hell of a run for plant work. 14k generator power separate from the inverter welding supply. Pure gold.

But my lincoln classic machine was just the best.

Tig welding and might, Miller all day. The exception being a suitcase wire fed maching. The Lincoln ln's win there too.
