It's the deerflys you need to worry about. You will be doing 60 down a road and you'll have 15 flying around in the dead air behind your side mirrors. No joke. Timing is key in the woods up there. A lot of it sees less than 100 people every 5 years

    None that matter. Haha.

Just coyote, bear, moose, Fischer cats, Bob cats, mtn lions (unofficially) and hippies.

Gotcha. We actually had a bear sighting down here a year or two ago. They supposedly caught it and relocated it out in the Tuskegee National Forest. It was pretty tiny though.

They're everywhere up here. They wander into the cities frequently now. The suburbs just pushed right up to the edge of forests these days. They're not too bad though. Just like to get into the trash and make a mess.

Out fishing in the back country is another deal though. Bear guns are encouraged.

If we have those down here, I've never seen one. What about opossums and armadillos? We have a shit ton of those.

We get the opposom. I think the babies are cool buggers. No armadillo though. Basically anything up here has to handle well below freezing temps, hybernates, or dies after 1 year.
