I'm back in school and it's an interesting feeling being around 18 year old's and realizing that I'm 10 years older than them. That and they act so, young! :p

Ah well, it's all downhill now. :)

Bluffing, that gave me a chuckle Rob. :)

Oh so not true for me man. I've been saying for years I'd NEVER wanna be 15 to about 25 again. God Was I a dumb ass...almost as dumb as the pimple face little brats running around today in that age group except, I had a real job, a couple duplex rental properties and was probably on my third or forth new vehicle by the time I was 25 (occupy that). Man it's seems the goal of most of today's youth is finding someone to blame for their own failures.

Anywhot, I've had ups & downs from year to year but, the trend line is and has always been going the right direction. Life is better for me now than it ever has been as far as being at peace with myself.

Had a wonderful night last night cleaning up after a wedding. Found some guy passed out in the corner of the room behind some chairs. Let him be till I had to leave. Funny thing is he did not he know there was a wedding..... Kinda confused myself.

After seeing osteoporosis up close in my cadaver class (and then seeing a normal bone from a different cadaver) I'm definitely going to drink my milk.

The newer model does have a few things not on the 2013, and older, depending on the trim level. I'm all about the heated mirrows and cooled seats. But, maybe it's just not for her. What's she driving now?

I'm on double time tonight but, I've not been able to get much done due to parts and some basic trouble shooting needing done. High power engine runs etc during launch aren't always easy to accomplish...too much traffic on the ramp to get to the run up pads.

Not too late. Of course you can do calcium supplements & vitamin D but, it's starting to sound like calcium has enough negative side effects (cardiovascular) it would only be indicated if it's needed enough to offset the risk. My boy has low bone density due to chemo and radiation so he supplements.

She's driving a 2008 Ford Escape. It's not the model she has problems with, while I was looking at the engine and underneath, etc; she was talking to the lady who said something to her about an accident ... apparently that threw up the caution flags for her, and rightly so. Might make some calls on a 2012 with only 15K on the odo. One thing I have learned for certain, she wants a third row seat. She's pretty heavy into the Grandma role now. I have to admit the third row seat is perfect for the grandkids, and at times it'd be nice to take them and their parents somewhere without needing to drive two vehicles. We'll find the right one; hell, it was only Sunday she agreed and told me to start looking. The fact she was willing to go look at one Tuesday evening says a lot; we're on the same sheet. Which particular 4Runner will be her choice completely.

I imagine the launch window there is a tightly timed controlled version of chaos. Well, like I said about my slow night ... easy money. ;)

Good deal on the chick saying the 4Runner had been crunched. I'm with you and the wifey on that one...no thanks.

I'm with you on the grandkids and kids with the third row seat. My mutts ride with me more than people do so opted to not have the third row because it eats about 3 or 4 inches of head room for my already oversized pups.

Not sure it's something you'd consider but, if I remember correctly, about 50% more cubic feet of interior space, gets better MPG and can be had with AWD. I shyed away from it because it's lack of body on frame and soccor mom image...not cool for a single cat like myself.

Ya, right on with the easy night. I accomplished exactly zero tonight and would feel guilty about it if it were in my control but, it wasn't. But, it's hard to turn down the double time pay.

I assume the middle part is referencing the Sienna? I don't think she wants to go minivan. Part of our discussion was specifically body on frame related. Living up here she likes the more truck like feel. If she wants to take a muddy or unplowed snow covered road, she likes having that option open. She even had me put AT tires on her Escape as her Summer tires; basically because if I was out with the kids shooting or ATVing at one of the semi off-road locations within 15-20 mins of our house, and she wanted to catch up with us after work, she could without needing us to drive out and bring her back in. She's still an Iowa farm girl at heart; and not afraid of going where/when she wants. ;)
