I bought these molex connectors. Will 18ga wire be good? I laid some 16ga in one of the little metal things and it seemed too big. The molex connectors are rated 24-18ga.

Why Sue?

 

Check to see what the draw for the relay will be. And if there's any LEDs in the switches. There's always a way to make it work. Worst case you'll just have to run a positive switch wire to each switch instead of Daisy chaining them together. Which doesn't matter at all. Can still make a nice neat pig tail to connect all of it and make it plug and play. I'll draw it up in the morning for you.

What is a relay? Why would it matter if the switch has LED's? What is a positive switch wire? What is daisy chaining?

My plan was to use 18ga wire running from the firewall to the Blue Sea fuse box from inside the firewall(after the male/female molex connects) run 18ga wire to whatever switches I use. I only have two things I'd hook up right now. My usb/voltmeter.

 

i wish we could get rid of our trainee. He's been here for 5 years but has the knowledge of someone who has been here 2 weeks.

I don't have any switches right now.
The usb/voltmeter is wired straight to the fuse box with a 5amp fuse. It's always hot.








I had planned to run the wires on the engine bay side of the firewall to the molex right inside the firewall and leave the switch side of the molex connectors empty until I add things with switches. Like my LED bed strips

 

How long would the stay be?
