Sounds like my day after I get off work. Need to drive 50 miles north and back to get a sidebag for the motorcycle that's being repaired, then drive back, finish building a telescope crate (just™ needs a lid, some handles, and a mounting system for the telescope base).

Then I need to pack for 5 days of camping, load the bike, load the telescopes, riding gear, and clean my apartment.

All this in 6 hours. :D

Yeah, I've caught some coverage of your crazy weather there.

Not really. The cooler/wetter weather last two days has helped, but it's still growing. I think they're just trying to stop it short of populated areas; nature will have to take it's course for the rest.

Apparently not. My right leg turned a weird shade of purple and now my knee is swollen.

on a side note. I kept hearing the anistegioulogist. wtf spelling. Keep saying "maybe we should try this". (pinning)
I think they should have done a full hip replacement at the time. Gonna be luck of the draw as to whether I still have a job in 5 months.

    That sucks :(

Go get a second opinion from a doc if you have to. Doc's are like mechanics, some are better than others but it's really hard to know or recognize what's good and bad.

FMLA is mandated at the federal level for a minimum of 90 days in a rolling 12 months. It also makes certain assumptions such as a companies gross sales & number of employees within a given geographic area. If Richs state opted to stay at the fed level minimum then he's at his employers whim without a contract or prior established precedent after the 90 days & if the assumptions are met.

Correct. My last short term/fmla check is oct 30. I will still be employed for a rolling year from date of the accident but will no longer be getting any income.

Todays doc visit was strange. Xrays on my knee and he said he didnt see any color change in my leg.
Basically its still a waiting game. Waiting on the upper femoral head to live or die. Meanwhile, he said "if" the fracture heals, he can send me back to work with no restrictions by mid sept. Then, if the blood vessels are not adaquitly nourishing the bone, I can go back out on short term again and they will do a FULL hip replacement. They wont do a partial (just the head) because the metal ball always wins over the cartilage socket and it wont last that long. But to me it seem like the fracture wont heal if its not recieving nourishment from the blood vessels. So, its like a double standard.

The only good news is after calling HR, I was informed that I will infact receive my 15 yrs of service on aug 2nd of this year. SO when/if I return to work this year, I still have 2 weeks of vacation left.
Also at 15 yrs, I am fully vested in the company and can draw dissabilty from them.

So basically,, I will know by mid sept if this fracture is getting the proper nourishment and the blood vessels had re attached. If not, then immediatly schedule full hip replacement. Thats going to mean i'm out of work for another 3 months with no pay whatsoever.
