It's a world wide conspiracy near as I can make out. Been working on it about 40 years now. Tried to figure out with my Mom from about 9 yrs old. Then with my wife for 30 yrs come this October ... still don't have a clue how they do it, but know for a fact they do it.

Since it's slow and I'm tired, I'll tell a story--
Oldest son moved out of our house into an apartment about 5 mins away in town a little over 5 yrs ago. He'd still come over and do his laundry at our place. One weekend he was at the house. I'd been in the garage working on something and came into the house to find him and his Mom arguing over something at the table. Never did catch exactly what they were arguing over, but as soon as I walked in he started trying to draw me in on his side. Conversation went like this:

    Me: "What's wrong with you?"

Son: No response, just puzzled look.

Me: "Boy, what is rule one?"

Son: (rolls eyes) "If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."

Me: "Correct. And these days, if Momma ain't happy, I'm the unhappiest guy around here, so shut the hell up and do whatever your mother is telling you to do." (and I returned to the safe-haven of my garage) ;)

    True story.

Is this what I get to look forward to at 47? Oh, wait, I am 47. I just tell everyone I'm 25:rolleyes:

Is the ligament damage related to the fall that broke your hip?

Sorta. I stumbled heading for bed one nite. Got my crutches twisted up and landed on my knee. Didnt think anything about it till it was the size of a softball and my foot turned purple.
The issue is, is if its blocking bloodflow to my foot, it could also be blocking the bloodflow to the upper femur which I am needing really bad right now.

Damn, that just absolutely sucks...sorry I don't know a way to sugar coat it. F'in crutches suck...spent two weeks on them post knee surgery...and that about drove me nuts. Can't imagine what you're going through...I sincerely feel for you man. Wish I had some freakin' magic shtuff to make it all go away. :(

It'll turn the right way...stay stubborn and press ahead...you'll beat this thing...and you're definitely due for something to go right.

Damn, MQQSE said it, you're due for some good luck! Stay positive. You'll win! Never spent any time on crutches, but I can't see how it wouldn't suck. Dodged a "bullet" a couple years ago. I sprained the hell out a my ankle. Ice, ibuprofen, and the recliner were my best friends for a couple of days, and at least I could work with a ACE bandage on it. That hurt like hell! I can't even imagine what a broken hip feels like:eek:
