Yup a common last name will cause issues.

In the early to mid 90’s I got a letter from Vermont DMV telling me they’re taking my license for tickets I got and didn’t pay.
Guy with same name and BDay and different license number and they still took my license.
Went to court in White River Junction Vermont and it was dismissed. It happened again three years later and when I went to the registry of motor vehicles there was a hearings officer there and she freaked out on them and help them understand you got the wrong guy. She just could not believe what she was hearing and she promised me once and for all to fix it and she did

 

Damn sounds like a big headache. Yeah I think some collection agencies who don't have all the information just try to narrow down who they need to collect from by picking people with the same name or bday and start calling. I've gotten calls from collection agencies who bug and bug and bug until they somehow realize they have the wrong person.

 

There's a guy with the same full name as me and like one digit difference in SSN and he's racked up several armed battery charges. So I have to warn people that he isn't me when they run my background checks.

 

It would suck to find yourself in handcuffs for something like that if you got pulled over for something

 

I’m a lot more calm about it now should it happen again but it’s pretty stressful nonetheless.

I used to drive a clapped out Pontiac grand am so I got stopped frequently. "You got any drugs in there?" Nope. "I could smell em as soon as I got out my car!" Sir, mayhaps you're thinking of the dead skunk about a mile back? "We can do this the easy way or the hard way, you let me search your car or I call the drug dogs." Call the dogs. I got nothing in here but I don't need my car turned upside down. *waiting 10 minutes for 'the dogs' to show* *dispatch calls him asking where he is, he's standing literally right next to my car so I can hear every word* "K9 unit pulled over a drunk driver, guess I can't hold you any longer, you have a good night." Right dude.

I'm on the prepay, 5 gig for $45+tax/month. I auto pay with my credit card. Been doing this for 5 years

Verizon informed me they were raising my data limit to 15 gig! Still only $45/ month.

Sure seems like huge jump in data as a reward for being a loyal and reliable cusuomer.

 

Cricket doubled mine a while back. When lines/towers get upgraded they often just bump everyone's stuff up. Could be a loyalty thing too.

 

The fact that we still pay for certain amounts of data is crazy to me, but maybe I’m just ignorant.

 

Yeah Xfinity wants an additional $50/month for unlimited on my internet! I already pay 88/month for Gigibit!
