well so far i only have the radio, antenna, the butt connectors you told me and a 8ohm 3.5mm speaker. took me a minute to locate the specs on the speaker needed.

Now i just need feed cable and power run. i think 10 feet will be enough for power...

 

I just put 2x2 tube and a A36 plate in my cart.... Then I saw how much after shipping and hit the X.

 

oh, and so you recommend a add a fuse correct? and if so, what size fuse?

 

I will grab those just on the dog hair bit and the easy cleaning.
The tight fit looks acceptable

 

so when i installed them they had some air in it. after a few days it leveled out and looked more formed.

Just so you know the D-710 has 2 speaker connections. One for each side on the radio. In the settings you can run 2 speakers or combine both sides into one speaker. Pretty sure all of us are only running the one speaker. I usually run APRS on one side so I don't need a speaker for that anyway. But when I do run both sides on repeaters there isn't an issue with a single speaker. Just fyi.

 

Don't remember offhand. Same size as the one on the radio. 15amp maybe? I can look in the morning and see what it is.

I have a supply of fuses so I just bought a inline fuse holder and added the one from my stock in the size I needed.

 

Making a mount for that cross you're supposed to be surprised about?

 

Ya i read about that on a forum trying to find what ohm i needed. id run a single for both sides. But you posted 4 ohm speakers. i read 8 on the manual. does it matter?

Dont worry about it. i just found a add a fuse and i know i have a box of blade fuses at home to match. for some reason i thought it mattered at first then i remembered i can just change the fuse.

And now im just looking at antenna line, which for now i think i will try the shorty up front (NMO).

 

No, IFS skid and mounting points for the sliders I picked up. Weighing my options buying local for no shipping or buying online for cheaper base cost.

 

Well there goes $700 more for radio and such. Now i just need to look up when the soonest test is when i get home and start to study for it!! hopefully end of march ill be on the air!

 

I have the programming CD and cable. I have it linked into a few subscription based services where I can plot a route in google maps and it programs all the repeaters into the radio. I like that a lot. Sorry for the delayed answer.

I would add a pair of speakers to the list or at least one speaker. I like kenwood's waterproof speaker. It works well. I like having the left side of the radio on the speaker to my left and the right on my right.

 

I ran one speaker and the speaker on the radio as separate channels. I like the APRS on one speaker at low volume to make sure that it doesn't accidentally get bumped by my passenger onto a voice frequency. I'm super nervous about that, even though I have the frequency locked on that side. I got a second speaker... because well... uhh... I wanted one. I haven't installed it yet.

Got an email from Headlight Services. My headlight wiring harness will ship out tomorrow. Still haven't heard from Rally Lights about my fog light harness shipping.
