Kirk's the one who said it, not me. Don't shoot the messenger when you saw it come out of the horses mouth.

I'm in the medical field. I have to know all these terms so I don't look like an ass when someone says they were doing something and then called EMS.

Chronic sinusitis as in you always have this same bout yearly or chronic as in its been going on three weeks and you’re sick of it?

Augmentin should cover the classic sinusitis so a 10 day course normally works. Sometimes it’s a different bug and you may need a different antibiotic. Did you ever feel better with the Augmentin or did symptoms stay the same?

Unlikely strep throat but you don’t have to have exudates to have strep! If you’re going to see a medical provider, a quick swab is easy and cheap. Plus strep is easy to treat so that would be a bonus.

Cough with yellow sputum sounds like a potential pneumonia. 3 weeks is a long time to be sick so a chest x-Ray might be wise. Blood tinge color to the sputum likely just irritation of the throat from coughing so much. Also probably explains the sore throat in general, but again, strep test is cheap and easy.

And out of curiousity, what did urgent care do for you? What made them say sinusitis? Any labs or imaging?

Lastly, I know people like the NediPot (spelling?) but it personally freaks me out haha. Make sure you boil water if you’re going to use one. Not too sure what the research says about them honestly. Maybe I’ll look into that tomorrow night on shift. Keep doing the Motrin, Sudafed, Claritin and Mucinex if it’s helping. They’re all symptomatic relief and everyone has personal preferences. I’m currently doing Afrin and Sudafed myself for nasal congestion, cold symptoms.

I’m salivating at the idea that New England could win all championships this year. Sox and Pats started it out for us. Celtics are stacked player wise but haven’t performed to expectation this year (7th in the east or something crazy) but they can pull it together. Bruins. Ahh the bruins. Always a chance with them. It’s unlikely though. Haven’t seen much of their stuff this year but their most recent cup win took a lot of skill and a good bit of luck so might need that again haha. Rask always makes me nervous in net. Some young talent on the team though so they’re fun to watch when I get the chance.

I recently realized that my house was originally built to have laundry in the garage so there’s cold and hot water spigots down there. Never thought to use it for winter car washing.
