I did the same when I took mine. Got it about 0100 on the next Saturday morning. So hopefully tonight sometime for you.

 

I just want to get it before the weekend so I can have time to mess around with everything and get it all working.

 

You mean you don’t have the radio programmed already and ready to transmit the second you get the email?

 

I need a DMR ID

 

You can do all that without a DMR Id and just add it to it after you get it and tell it to reprogram with the ID.

 

Ah, I'll have to screw with it again when I get home in an hour or so. I didn't really find a whole lot of help with programming the GD-77

 

Building the code plug will be the hardest part the first time. Once you get it built it’s easy to add to it. I had a friend do my first one and watched him do it. I waited a month before I added to it and it took me a few minutes to remember it but I got it. There should be some videos out on the GD-77. In fact if you look at your local clubs they may have one preconfigured on their website that you can just change the DMR ID in and go at it to start with. That’s a popular radio. Mine had just come out so there was nothing on it. They’re all basically the same though. Some of the software may look a little different though. When you program that one just make sure everything is sitting where it won’t get moved while it’s programming. That cable is kinda finicky on that one the way it connects. You do have a windows computer, right?

Yeah, I have a PC. I have the software for the GD-77. I've clicked through it a bit without actually programming anything into the radio, so I don't screw it up.

Ahh, I mean they're Denver based and I'm an hour or so south of Denver.

 

I’ll check out the club page and get them programmed in too.

 

Them big blues like the colder weather so I use my hunting gear. Channel cats are more of a summer bite.
