I agree. But there are those who don't. Also, take into account that they don't like cold and honestly, I haven't heard of using solar panels to
charge lipo cells since I'm guessing that the charge rate would be quite low. Not something that lipos like.

You'd be able to charge a 4s up to 2c, which I'd still use 1c personally given it's roll. The cold effects the discharge C rate which would be a concern for running high Amp objects, but for most stuff that's not a vacuum cleaner it should be alright.

Really the only time lipos get in trouble is when you mess up a current rate or puncture them. As long as there's a temp probe in the area of the battery compartment and it's sealed, I wouldn't be worried. Could add a fiberglass blanket around it for protection if it's a real concern.

I kept looking at those c3 lights. I need to tackle my rack first and do aux lighting on that for camping and the bed.
