They are supposed to be leaving this morning about 5am est.
The plan is for them to drive 1/4 of the way to louisville or so and chill till I can get this ultrasound done on monday morn.
No sense in them driving the rest of the way if we have to put off surgery.

Wednesday morning at about noon is cuttin time. lol.
Weird cause i'm not nervous at all.

I usually take my notebook into work and do budgeting and stuff. Anything I normally do at home that takes up time.

That's right ... the foot thing, checking for clots. Hope you get the green light for Wednesday.

I think you've been preparing for this eventuality since the whole accident occurred. Probably why you're not nervous... Everything will go fine.

Louisville will give them what, another 5 to 6 hrs driving time?

That would drive me nuts now. I was on an electronic leash (pager or cell) for most of my last 14 years on active duty. Since I retired from active duty, I take great pleasure in leaving my cell phone on my dresser most of the time on my days off. I get a laugh when I pick it up on the first day back to work and see several missed calls.

    Checking in.

Couple hours to go then I get to go to work at my second job for the month.

Got a big utility trailer to finish up in the next week or so. With all the overtime this thing has taken me 3x longer than it should. Does any one want to see pics? I could post it in the fabrication section, but WTH, a thread is a thread.

Let me know and I'll toss up pics of what I do for a hobby.

I spend enough time in the fab section on the Garage Journal site. This will work just as good.

First is a couple of what I usually build. Unfortunately, I don't have many of the present trailer uploaded yet. I'll get a bunch loaded up a bit later as well as some I'll take in a couple hours.

Prolly should give a back story on the first trailer. I built this one to do double duty. It will be a regular utility trailer most of the time and serve as a kayak hauler when needed.

The bars that parallel the top rail are removable. You reposition them cross wise then bolt the Thule kayak racks to the bars.

If anyone is curious, I have a utube vid of this trailer, but have not figured out how to post the link in a thread post. I'm sure it would be easy to find.

The second trailer is a combination utilility trailer/equipment hauler with a tilt bed. It will be electric over hydraulic to raise the bed.

    $1575.

I tell everyone if they can find the trailer they like on a dealers lot, they should buy it. I can't build one and sell them cheaper than a drealer. I still have more work than I need. Must be the customizations I can do that the dealers can't or won't. I dunno.

It's the quality and attention to small details, plus customizations are a huge bonus. That's a really good price. A lot of people wouldn't see the differences.

Thanks for the compliments. I like to think the same, but don't want to come off as being concieted.

I must be doing something right. Guys I sold trailers to 15 years ago are sending their kids to me. The old men are telling their kids to buy their own trailer.

I just got doing one for one of the mortitions' kid here in town. I met up with the motition and told him that prices were quite a bit more than when I built his. I told him that I have to ask for 75% down to help with materials.

I told him that I have never been "stiffed", but I could not sit on the cost of the materials. His reply was "No problem, but can I ask a favor?". "In my buisiness, we try to avoid using the the word stiffed"

Who said mortitions don't have a sense humor?

I aspire to get back to doing this. However it could be a while, I'm attached to an electric leash but it hasn't been a pager for a very long time.

I used to do something similar with my previous job but that's just not do able with this one. It's very seldom I get to stay out if they aren't working me, when I'm out here normally I have to squeeze in a bite to eat and hope for 4 solid hours of sleep in a bed. Don't get me wrong there are good and bad as with everything, but no one gripes about the good. :D
If I really didn't like my job I would have moved on already.
