As a corrections officer I don't need to have anything bigger than that LOL

 

Speaking of refrigerators and things to run on our trucks. Is a separate battery needed for this? Cant imagine the one battery will be enough.

 

Depends on how much you are running the truck really. If it sits a lot and you have the fridge set on the lowest cut off setting it will kill it.

Nice! I was watching some bus drivers take their tests today. I’m thinking ,hey man you got that . Then I forgot that they want you to get out and look and see to be sure. Just so that you know....

 

I got confirmation email with DOT attachments and stuff to get rolling.

 

I’m not going for bus I’m getting class A.

 

In either case, you’ll need to get out to look and you’ll need to use your pull forwards. Good luck Murph

 

Not sure what it was for the A, but for the B, I had 3 pull forward per each Maneuver

 

Are you going through a school? Or do you have a separate sponsor? A friend of mine drives OTR and said he would take me along if I got my permit. I will try to use this job opportunity to have them sponsor me with their equipment

Also reminded me I had to send in my medical card to the state. Got that done just now too. Kinda odd since they scanned it and I signed a affidavit at the DMV. Oh well, done now.

 

No they will train me on the job as long as I have my permit. Then let me use their tractor and trailer to test with. They made an exception for me because a buddy recommended me. Normally they want class A license already.

 

Good for you Murph what’s good with that is you can take as much time as reasonably needed and it won’t cost you 5k

 

I picked a location further away from me because I'm not sure if it's everywhere, but here if you test on a auto you can't drive a manual truck. So I chose the location to work at that has all 7 speed manuals so I'd be able to drive both.
