When I installed mine, I pushed the hood full open to drill the holes for the bottom mounting brackets. Otherwise there is not enough room to drill straight.

    How long ya'll been married?

Our 30th was 2 Oct. My wife is the frugal one, and honestly she's taught me well over the years. But money's not so tight these days with the kids grown and one retirement check already coming in. I don't spend extravagantly, but when she tries that on me for anything less than $1000, I just shrug and ask if we're gonna miss a mortgage payment or something. To which she says, "you know that's not gonna happen." Discussion ends when I reply "Well alrighty then." ;)

Neither one of us is going anywhere. :)

14 yrs. Been together. Married 13. I used to waste a lot on RC offroad racing. But now back into home improvement and making "wine".
But I'm the primary money maker and sock away a little each week but our homestead is our retirement. its dbld in value.

My sleep comes in a series of 2 to 5 hr naps. I rarely sleep more than 5 hrs at a time. Try to sleep at night on days off, but usually end up awake around 2AM for a few hours. But I choose to work nights; I swore off the reindeer political games of day shift when I retired from active duty. I was never politically correct on active duty, I have even less patience to put up with it now.

I usually pack whatever leftovers I find in the fridge. About once every other week we'll do a Buffalo Wild Wings "splurge night." :hungry:

Are you on call again this weekend?

 Our home hasn't doubled, but it's gained about a third more value than we paid for it. We bought it in 2002 when we PCS'd here from England. When I retired 5 years ago, we refinanced it to a 15 yr mortgage; she pays extra on it and has it worked out to pay it off in the next 5 yrs. Alaska is really good to Vets, our taxes on it are close to nil thanks to tax breaks for my veteran status.

Air Force Comm, you at Nellis?

Yeah, I've worked a lot of shift work over the years. When I was running op centers, we usually did the same kind of rotation. Back when I first came in we still worked the old two days, two swings, two nights, 3 off and repeat. That was bad for any kind of schedule, my wife always hated it. Worse was 12 hr shifts, two days, two nights, 2 off and repeat. Almost like not having time off, almost.

Creech :\ we were going to go to panamas but leadership changed their mind last minute, that two two two sounds horrible though. Some people I know here were on mids for almost two years, I cant imagine that.
