Working in BFE is kinda nice because I'd get so fat on late night fast food runs. Closest place is a gas station 15 min away or a McDonalds 25 min away.

Met once; he bought my caliraised bar, he’s about an hour and a half north. I don’t do as many car/truck things as I used to. Kids take up most of my time and budget.

 

Anyone here have experience with Under Armour boots? I need to get some black or hiking boots to keep alongside my regular timberland pros. Focusing on comfort and water resistance.

 

I have some that I wore for work. I loved them. very comfy for sitting in my chair

I have a few pairs of the 5.11 in tan(not waterproof) and black(waterproof). They've been good to me.

 

Don't know about Under Armour but the best boots I ever had in the army were Danners.

 

Merrell Moab 2 gortex boots.

I had UA boots and hated them as far as their waterproofing is concerned.

 

I had Danners arcadias and one of their hiking boots when I was a park ranger. They are pretty damned good boots.

 

I still have the Danners. I think the model is 'Rivet' or something. I don't wear them daily anymore but I do take them on hikes/outdoorsy things.

Once they wear out, I intend on buying from them again.
