If you knew how to use it and had all the other supplies for a field amp. It'll get pretty gummed up if you don't use it right.

Granted, I was out in the woods a lot more for camping/hunting/wheeling. Definitely not getting the same thing when I replace it.

 

A wire saw is for wires, duh.

 

I would avoid using those things on a human limb unless you've also got the lap sponges, forceps, and scalpels to do it right.

Question for you all.....

Would you work any over time if they made you flex off the time you worked over?

I worked 8 hours over on my Friday and then worked an extra 8 on my day off. My LT is apparently going to try and make me flex off my time I worked over.

 

What is flex?

 

Fuck that, pay me.

 

Say I worked 4 hours over time in conjunction with my normal 8 hour shift. Instead of paying me for those four hours I worked, they make me leave from my normal shift 4 hours early.

I gave up a whole day off for 8 hours of over time. I need the money. I don't get child support. Christmas is coming up and cooler weather.... My kids need things like jackets.... Giving them gifts on Christmas would be nice instead of trying to explain why mommy is broke without talking shit about their sperm donor to them.

 

I'm so pissed right now that I'm afraid of what is going to happen when I see my LT and she tells me I need to go home.

 

In that same boat, plus his bday is coming up. I feel that.

LMFAO I could use some of that CBT too. And yeah man I hear that from all of my buddies. Luckily my gal takes me to my favorite spots and lets me drink my ass off on her dollar. I know that's rare though.

They don't want to pay you OT, then they shouldn't make you work OT.
Sadly, I don't think there's anything stopping them from doing that to you unless you have a previous agreement that doesn't involve flexing hours.

Yeah, I've had CBT recommended to me by a few people.

Fiancee might do something similar but I'm not big on going out to bars/crowds/people so if anything I'd just have some friends over so I'm not drinking alone lol. My birthday is on a Wednesday, however.

 

They have authorized us to work unlimited paid over time. They never said we had to flex. My LT is trying to make a name for herself. I'll be standing outside the the captains office in the morning if she tries sending me home. We will be having a nice conversation.
